It’s so weird. The ASS were far harsher in my experience.

If nothing else, a stock flat flywheel is a few lbs heavier than the yoshi unit in my car (19 lbs). At this point I think that a dogdish would shift the resonant vibration frequency below idle speed.

ASS makes them with two different durometer rubbers now. Also they are fine as long as the setup isn’t a B230 with a T5 and a lightish flywheel.

Did your car use those ASS mounts back when I rode in it?

You will gain a lot by sealing the inside of the door cavity to help it function as a baffle. I’m limited by my door cards to use an extremely low profile 4” driver. Doing a thorough job with sealing made a night and day difference in terms of sound quality.
